He attended masterclasses with great cellists like Arto Noras, Frans Helmerson, Herre Jan Stegenga, Miklos Pereny, Marin Cazacu, and Radu Aldulescu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>R\u0103zvan was born in 1977 in <strong>Cluj-Napoca<\/strong> (Romania) and has been an award winner cellist ever since picking the instrument up at the age of 6, receiving the first prize in a competition at the age of 7 (1984). He won important international competitions as <strong>Markneukirchen<\/strong> Competition &#8211; Germany, <strong>G. B. Viotti<\/strong> Competition &#8211; Italy, <strong>Chi\u015finau <\/strong>Competition \u2013 Republic of Moldavia and <strong>Villa de Llanes<\/strong> \u2013 Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He performed with many orchestras throughout Europe as <strong>Bern Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> or <strong>Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, ERT Grece, <\/strong>playing next to very important musicians, such as Maxim Vengerov, Alexander Sitkovetski, Richard Galliano, Borromeo Quartet, Justus Frantz, Josef Lendvay, Misha Katz, Jin Wang, Cristian Mandeal or Marin Cazacu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting 2010, R\u0103zvan is the <strong>Cello Soloist in Residence of the Romanian Radio Orchestras<\/strong> and <strong>Cello Professor <\/strong>at Bucharest Music University. He performed concerts and recitals in such countries as France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Argentina, USA, Macao, Vietnam, China, Maroc and the Republic of Moldovia. He was invited at <strong>the MDR Music Festival<\/strong> in Dresden, Germany, <strong>Murten Classics<\/strong> Festival in Switzerland, <strong>SONORO Festival<\/strong> in Romania or <strong>Klaipeda Cello Festival <\/strong>\u2013 Lithuania. Razvan was invited to play in great concert halls as <strong>Berlin Philharmonic Hall<\/strong> \u2013 Germany, <strong>Bamberg Symphoniker Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2011, R\u0103zvan is touring every year in Romania with \u201c<strong>V\u0103 place\u2026?<\/strong>\u201d (\u201c<strong>Do you like\u2026?\u201d<\/strong>) project. The first edition of the tour \u2013 \u201c<strong>Do you like Bach?\u201d<\/strong> &#8211; was conceived around <strong>J. S. Bach &#8211; The Six&nbsp;<em>Suites<\/em>&nbsp;for Unaccompanied&nbsp;<em>Cello<\/em>:<\/strong> R\u0103zvan played 19 concerts with all suites in the same concert. The second tour was a <strong>J. Brahms<\/strong> tribute \u2013 \u201c<strong>Do you like Brahms?\u201d<\/strong> &#8211; with the two cello and piano sonatas and included 13 concerts, \u201c<strong>Do you like TANGO?\u201d <\/strong>\u2013 with Argentinian singer Analia Selis and Argentinian guitar player Julio Santillan, <strong>\u201cDo you like SCHU-bert-mann?\u201d <\/strong>with pianist Horia Mihail, <strong>\u201cDo you like BEETHOVEN?\u201d <\/strong>with pianist Daniel Goiti.
